“My stay at the chic chateau exceeded my expectations. Janet met me at the entrance, gave a tour of the entire place. I was speechless by the beauty and personal touch of this oasis. The home is welcoming, filled with decor, and beautiful arts. The garden room is beautifully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed. The view from the pool tub is must see.
My only regret was the stay was too short. I had to be in Port-Au-Prince the next morning. After a plentiful and delicious breakfast made by Janet herself, it was hard to say goodbye. If you are planning to experience beauty and relaxation while in Jacmel, Chic Chateau is the place to stay. I'll be back soon.”

It's hard to find the words to accurately capture my experience at Chic Chateau. I was speechless when I first arrived, and then just couldn't stop talking about it to other people. Many of our favorite moments with my partnerincluded the plunge pool, the outdoor shower (with a basil plant to cleanse your skin with courtesy of Janet), a breakfast feast the filled our bellies and spirits, and our let's lay in the hammock chats (we had a couple to choose from). On my last night at Janet's, while James was sleeping, I just sat on the balcony, mosquito net flowing behind me, the BEAUTY of Haiti in front of me and just cried. In that moment, I made the following vow to myself: if anyone proceeds to make any negative, overarching assumptions about Haiti, I'm just going to send them to Janet's.

Janet is the best! I went on a solo trip to Haiti and was last minute trying to figure out how to get from PAP to Jacmel other than hiring a private driver. Janet is well versed on any detail you need arranged. She is extremely thoughtful, patient, and generous. I am so grateful for my time in her home. Chic Chateau is so incredibly beautiful, clean and eco friendly. Cloris Janet's mototaxi go-to is an amazing driver and human. It was my first time on a motorcycle and he was extremely safe and responsible driver. I don't know what else to say other than I didn't want to leave and anyone who has the pleasure of staying in this beautiful place will feel the same way!

“Truly a gem!”
This place is truly a gem! The gorgeous open layout allows you to breathe easy and relax in this tropical piece of heaven. The interior design is exquisite. The colors, the textures, everything! Janet was very lovely and accommodating. The daily breakfast was delicious. I appreciate the fact that her home is a green space, even down to the plumbing system. She is well known by the locals so should you get a little lost on your way up just as for "Chic Chateau" I definitely recommend experience a stay here. Merci Madame Janet!

Starting with the excellent communications with Janet who answered to all my questions, to arriving, her giving my friend and I a tour of the property and her preparing a wonderful breakfast for us the next morning.
